This city is so bike-friendly. There are marked paths everywhere, especially over the bridges. We are staying in the trendy South Side (think Brooklyn with a mullet) with all the other hipsters straight out of "Portlandia".
In the morning we toured Fort Pitt and Point Park and in the afternoon took a long nap. I'm feeling very refreshed and ready to resume.
Looking at the maps, we realized that cutting northwest to Cleveland, we could save 110 miles of riding. So that's what we're going to do. We expect to be somewhere Youngstown tomorrow night.
After staying in those small, mostly impoverished towns, it was nice to be in a vibrant city and have to decide among 20 restaurants, all in easy walking distance. We will leave Pittsburgh with all positive impressions. Below is the view from our hotel room:
