After a delicious and sustaining breakfast, we headed out into a cool and overcast day. For the first 8 miles, we were adding and then subtracting clothes until we hit the perfect combo. The scenery was outstanding.
We saw our first Steelers jersey on a runner.
About 12 miles down the trail, we were greeted by name by a cyclist. It was Dale from Meyersdale who was staffing the railroad museum yesterday. It made us feel like celebrities.
We had lunch in Ohiopyle, one of the top 10 state parks in the U.S.
As you can see, the sun came out.
Cool bike racks at the visitor center that actually work for loaded bikes.
From Ohiopyle it was an easy 17 miles downhill to Connellsville, where we are staying at the awesome Fox Castle B&B.
It was great to finish the day in the mid afternoon.
